SQL Practice Ground / Legal

Terms and Conditions

The terms governing your use of SQL Practice Ground and its learning services.

Effective and last updated: 9 October 2026

1. Agreement and scope

These terms apply to SQL Practice Ground, operated under that name from Chikkalasandra, Bengaluru, India. By using the website, you agree to these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms cover SQL challenges, learning paths, query execution, saved or shared SQL work, account profiles and progress tracking. Any future paid plan will also be subject to the price, duration and billing terms disclosed before purchase.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you are under 18, use the service only with a parent or legal guardian’s consent and supervision; purchases must be made by a legally competent adult.

Provide accurate account details, keep your sign-in credentials secure and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. Do not share, sell or impersonate another person’s account. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

3. Learning services and availability

The service provides educational practice, not certification, recruitment, employment placement or professional advice. Challenge availability, datasets and supported SQL dialects may change. Unlimited generated practice means access to generated exercises, subject to reasonable technical and abuse-prevention limits, not a promise of infinite unique instructional concepts.

We may maintain, improve or temporarily interrupt the website. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free grading or compatibility with every SQL engine. We will not use these terms to avoid obligations that applicable law requires us to meet.

4. Payments and future subscriptions

These terms do not activate a subscription or charge you for using existing free features. If paid services are introduced, the total price, applicable taxes, access period, renewal arrangements and cancellation method must be shown before purchase. No recurring payment is authorized simply by creating an account.

Any purchase is subject to our Refund Policy. Cancellation of a future renewing plan stops future renewals according to the disclosed billing terms; it does not normally refund an already paid period. Material changes to an existing paid entitlement remain subject to applicable consumer rights.

5. Ownership and permission to use content

Website content, challenge collections, explanations, design and branding are protected by applicable intellectual property laws, subject to third-party rights and open-source licenses. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to access the service for your own learning and lawful use.

Do not copy, republish, sell or systematically extract our challenge library without permission. You retain rights in original SQL or other content you submit. You give us only the permission needed to store, process and display that content to provide the features you choose, including sharing when you create a share link.

6. Your SQL and shared content

Only submit material you have permission to use. Do not upload production data, passwords, private keys or personal, confidential or regulated information into practice datasets or shared SQL work.

A shared fiddle link may be accessible to anyone who receives it. Do not treat link-based sharing as confidential storage. You are responsible for reviewing the material before sharing it. Keep your own copies of important work.

7. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, unlawful conduct or material violations of these terms. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us about a mistake. Urgent security action may occur without advance notice.

You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion by email. Retention required for legal, security or dispute purposes is described in the Privacy Policy. Termination does not remove rights or obligations that by their nature survive it.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees of a particular learning outcome, interview result or job offer. Review the Disclaimer for educational and technical limitations.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or damage caused by using practice SQL in a production environment. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, willful misconduct or any liability or consumer remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Law, disputes and updates

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer protections and any legally available consumer forum, courts with competent jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka will hear disputes. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern; doing so does not limit your statutory remedies.

We may update these terms and display the revised date. Material changes will be communicated through a suitable notice where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights relating to an earlier purchase. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
