SQL Practice Ground / Legal

Privacy Policy

What information is used, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated: 9 October 2026

1. Who this policy covers

SQL Practice Ground is the service responsible for the personal information described here. Our contact address is Chikkalasandra, Bengaluru, India, and our privacy contact is simpledailyplanner26@gmail.com. This policy covers visitors, learners and administrators using our website.

2. Information you provide

When you create an account, we process your email, authentication information and any profile details you provide, such as your display name, headline and SQL skills. If you choose Google sign-in, the authentication provider supplies the account details needed to sign you in; we do not receive your Google password.

We process solved challenge identifiers, solve dates, difficulty and topic information to show progress and streaks and sync them across devices. Saved SQL work may contain schema, query and related content you choose to save. Messages you email us include your email address and the information you put in the message.

3. Technical and browser information

Essential browser storage supports authentication, locally saved progress and display preferences such as theme. Challenge and dialect selections may also appear in the page address. Hosting and authentication services may process technical information, including IP addresses, browser details, request times and error or security logs, to deliver and protect the website.

SQLite and PostgreSQL practice queries run in your browser. For curated answer checking, the query result is sent to our backend for comparison; account progress is also saved there when signed in. Browser execution does not make submitted results or saved SQL confidential. Never use sensitive real-world data in practice.

4. Why we use information

We use information to authenticate users, provide practice and answer checking, save profiles and progress, operate chosen sharing features, respond to support requests and detect abuse. We also use necessary technical information to investigate errors and protect the service.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely as appropriate on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in secure and reliable operation, legal obligations, or your consent for genuinely optional uses. We do not treat accepting the terms as blanket consent for unrelated data use.

5. Sharing and service providers

Hosting, authentication, database and email service providers process information as necessary to operate the website and handle your requests. Google is involved only if you choose its sign-in service. Such providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable service terms and safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect users or investigate unlawful activity, or as part of a lawful business transfer with appropriate protections and notice where required. Shared SQL content is visible to people who access its link. Your account progress is not intended as a public leaderboard.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep account information and synced progress while needed to provide your account, and retain support correspondence for resolving requests and disputes. Security records, backups and legally required records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes; this policy does not promise a fixed deletion deadline for every system.

Email us to request deletion of your account and associated personal information. We may need to verify account ownership before acting. Any limited information that must be retained for legal or security reasons will be explained where appropriate. Local browser data remains on your device until you remove it; deleting an account does not automatically clear every device.

7. Your rights and choices

You can edit supported profile details, choose whether to sign in, clear local storage or use browser controls to manage storage. Clearing storage may sign you out or remove unsynced progress. To request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, withdrawal of optional consent, or to raise an objection, contact our privacy email.

We will handle requests according to applicable law and may request proportionate proof of ownership. You may also raise concerns with a competent authority where that right applies. We do not require you to email your password or payment credentials.

8. Security, children and changes

We use access controls and other reasonable protections, but no website or transmission method is completely secure. Use a strong password and never submit sensitive production information. Notify us promptly if you believe your account or personal information is at risk.

Minors should use the service with a parent or legal guardian’s consent and supervision. A guardian can contact us about a child’s information. We will take steps required by applicable law if we learn information was collected without required authorization.

We update this policy when our practices change and display the latest revision date. Before introducing materially different uses, optional tracking or payment processing, we will provide relevant disclosures and obtain consent where required.
